Workshop on "Integration of electric vehicles in grids and buildings"

In order for Latvia to meet its climate targets in 2030, it needs to accelerate the growth of electro-mobility, so it is now necessary to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to overcome them, both by better targeting EU fund support programmes and by making changes to legislation, including in the area of taxation.

Participants will discuss what changes are needed in national and local government regulations, EU Fund support programmes to accelerate the development of the EV charging network. The discussion will focus on charging solutions at apartment buildings, private homes, retail outlets and other high-traffic locations (e.g. offices, parking lots, state and municipal buildings).

The workshop will also discuss how to make charging infrastructure more convenient and safer for users, as well as issues related to the electricity metering system so that companies can pay their employees if the company's electric car is charged on the employee's property.
