The morphological boundary of the city of Riga extends beyond its administrative boundaries - the Riga urban development zone has been created, which is primarily stimulated by business activity. Therefore, coordinated development planning of the territories of Riga and Pieriga is critically important. Together with the speakers and participants of the conference, we will discuss Riga's development plans in relation to business development, including:

  • On the priority support tools of Riga and Pieriga municipalities for improving the business environment, including the improvement of transport, cultural and environmental infrastructure;
  • About the necessary changes in the structure of real estate tax or personal income tax;
  • About the extent to which the administrative territorial reform contributes to the development of Riga and Pieriga.

Invited participants of the discussion: companies of various business sectors, real estate developers, foreign investors, diplomatic corps

Speakers:

dr. Andris Miglavs, Advisor to the Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development on regional development and economic issues

Karina Mikelson, co-chairman of the board of the "RĪGAS METROPOLE" society, chairwoman of the Ādažu county council

Ines Anderson, chairwoman of the Riga City Development Committee
